Cyclo Sportif Challenge

Welcome to the NAB B2B Cyclo Sportif Challenge .

The NAB B2B Cyclo Sportif Challenge is the first of a series of major participation events sanctioned by Cycling NSW with the Rotary Club of Bathurst Daybreak Inc being the sole event promoter.

The event is open to the general public as well as members of all affiliated cycling associations and codes.

The NAB B2B has been closely aligned to the European style of participation events. We now have an exciting event which caters for cyclists of all levels of ability and age.

The NAB B2B is about the challenge . It has something for every participant. It is about recording your personal best time, it about participating and being active with your friends and family and for the competitive in nature it’s about recording a fastest time in your in age category.

There are now over three hundred spot prizes available along with a 8 day holiday package to the Tour Down Under 2011, Weekend Holidays, Queensland holiday, Two bicycles and a 2009 Frame Giro de Itallia Jersey signed by the entire Columbia HTC race team including Mark Cavendish and Bathurst’s own Mark Renshaw. For the competitive cyclists there are also 1st 2nd and 3rd cash prizes for fastest recorded time in each age category

Mount Panorama.

Mount Panorama is the key to the success of this event. It is one of the best known sporting icons in Australia. For participants of all levels and abilities to have the opportunity to finish this challenge through the chicane and into Pitt Lane at the bottom of the mount is a dream come true.

participants will gain access  to the race circuit via a service road under Conrod Straight and into the back of the Pit Area. From there riders will continue onto Conrod Straight  through the Chicane and into Pit Lane to the Finish area.      (Check out this really net 3D fly through of the final 2km )

 

The “B2B” Cyclo Sportif course route has also been carefully selected to provide a challenging course which poses minimal effect to local traffic whilst passing through historic villages providing a glimpse of our “Gold Rush” heritage. Along the route there are some testing climbs including “Rockley Mountain which is a special feature of the long course event.
